IDS/Brunswick Integrations
Working together with Brunswick Marine, we both realized that something needed to be done to help out the dealer. For far too long, we both have heard complaints about the tedious nature of certain important dealership tasks, including product registrations, warranty claims submission, part orders and invoices, and part pricing files. It was time for something to be done to help speed up these processes.
Like previously released IDS integrations, including developing a seamless interface with Coachmen's Coach-Link, the combined efforts with Brunswick Marine will completely revamp the way that important dealership tasks are completed. Like Bill Avery, Chief Information Officer with Brunswick said, “Anything that helps take unnecessary cost out of the dealer’s business is good for everyone.”
Here are the 4 dealer tasks that will now be fully integrated through Astra and how they affect you:
Warranty Claims Submission and Status
Thanks to Astra, participating dealers are able to eliminate the time-consuming task of manually entering warranty claims and duplicate data entry. Dealers are able to submit the claims while they are currently working on the repair so that they can get reimbursed quicker. Plus, the dealer is now able to completely monitor the entire claims process electronically. In fact, according to Bob Reich, Senior Vice President of Customer Service for Sea Ray Boats, “Pass rates of claims are 20-30% higher since the preauthorization process is built right into the IDS repair order.”
Part Orders and Invoices
Now that Astra configurations can be set so that as parts purchase orders are entered in Astra, the dealer can transmit them to the vendor electronically, placing part orders is a much simpler process. Key information on the Astra PO is automatically extracted in the form of a PO transaction which is then submitted to the vendor. The entire process takes only a matter of minutes and the resulting PO is visible to the dealers through Astra.
Product Registrations
The new integrations take the chore out of new product registrations. Astra enables the automatic submission of transactions to file the product registration as soon as the deal is finalized, scanning key information to see what can be automatically registered. This means no more duplicate entries or manual submissions. And, because much of the information is entered automatically, there is less chance of a mistake in the information.
Parts Pricing Files
Getting the latest parts pricing files has never been easier. All the dealer has to do is set up the Astra system to electronically request an updated vendor parts pricing file at a given time and frequency. They system automatically receives the most recent pricing parts file and updates the vendor pricing in Astra.
